Thunder's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Thunder, his sibling rain and his Mom stormy were all rescued from a high kill shelter. This poor pup was underweight, flea infested and in need of some TLC When he arrived. She is now healthy and ready for adoption. His mom is a lab mix and he is the shorter haired of the siblings.

Meet Rain and Thunder...they came to us with their momma Stormy. Both were infested with hundreds of fleas and had worms as well. We did not think Rain was going to survive as she had lost so much blood due to the fleas. With a lot of TLC and her will to survive both Rain and Thunder survived. They are loveable cuddly puppies in your arms but extremely playful when out and about. They are good with dogs of all sizes, cats and kids but they may irritate some older dogs due to their playful nature.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thunder, a Sanford Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Sanford, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Sanford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sanford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sanford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sanford paves the way for another one to be saved.
