My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We were told this adorable kitten was a little boy. Fierce and strong, he was named Odin, the Viking God. The first vet visit gave us a big surprise...Odin was a girl! We names her Odeena. She is an exotic shorthair persian mix, and is spunky and brave when she attacks her cat nip toys and her brother and sister. She even attempts to play the big cats' tails. She looks so much like Yoda that she frequently makes me laugh. She is a delightful, affectionate kitten and loves to snuggle into your hair and make biscuits. Cats, dogs and kids are fine with her. Do you have room in your heart and home for Odeena?

If you are interested in adopting this adorable kitten, please contact us at Merlinshoperagdollrescue@gmail.com to get an application started. Please note that she falls under our companion cat policy and must have another young companion in her future home or go home with one especially her best friend, Pandora. Odeena is being fostered in a home in Austin, TX.

Adoption Fee: $150

Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.

Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.

COMPANION CAT POLICY: Unless otherwise indicated, all cats under the age of 3 must go into a home with another cat/kitten under the age of three or be adopted with a buddy. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable. Special prices are made for buddy adoptions.
