Tina is social, confident, curious and playful -- a great fit for almost any household. At only 2-1/2 years of age, Tina has learned the basics of cathood but is young enough to have some remnants of kittenhood left in her. Tina and her sibling Amy lost their previous home when their owner had to move. Now this affectionate girl is waiting for her new home. Tina likes to purr and give head bumps while busily inspecting and claiming her new surroundings. She can be a bit stand-offish and lets you know by softly growling and meowing. She will also let you know when she'd rather not be handled any more. For this reason we think children should be at least 10 years old and understand that Tina needs to be handled gently and not startled to keep her mellow. Tina was quick when a door opened and could easily escape if not watched carefully. To make her indoor life interesting enough, give Tina a scratching post and some batting or dangling toys, and provide a window perch or spot from where she can watch what's happening outside and to keep her mind busy. Tina did not strike us as a lap cat, but in the evening hours when tired and ready to slow down she may very much like to cuddle and fall asleep in your lap, happy to be home again.
