I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Zoey's Story...
Zoey, here! This sweet senior is eight years old and searching for a soft place to land. She is an easygoing lady who loves her doggy snacks! Zoey was surrendered to our shelter through no fault of her own. She is suffering from a severe flea allergy that has left her with very patchy fur. Zoey is receiving medicated baths to help with the itching, but it will take some time for her fur to grow back. Zoey's ideal home would be able to continue bathing and provide further veterinary care if needed.

Zoey enjoys meeting new people and gets along well with other dogs. She previously lived in a home with a cat, so she's feline-friendly too! Ideally, her new home would have no children under the age of ten.

Zoey was previously spayed and is now current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. She also tested heartworm negative. Weighing 65 pounds, Zoey is a larger dog who requires a daily romp in the yard or moderate walk. We would love to see this older lady find the perfect home. For more information, stop by and meet Zoey!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a Germantown Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Germantown, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
