Callie's Story...
How cute is she?! Sweet Callie, is an 8 1/2 month old Dutch Shepherd mix who is ready for a new leash on life! When she was a baby, was found tied up to a vet clinic, with a note saying her previous owner couldn't take care of her anymore. Callie was quickly adopted but returned to a different shelter, with her adopters saying they just didn't want her anymore. Thankfully she is a happy-go-lucky girl, and now she is back with us and enjoying playing with her roommate. She is such a fun girl! She is so soft too! She is around 45lbs now, and still has some growing to do. Her new family will need to provide training and lots of mental stimulation and play time! Callie is spayed, current on her vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet her today at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook. We are open daily from 12-6pm.

**Through the end of December, all dogs over 30lbs have an adoption fee of only $25!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Callie, a Benbrook Dutch Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dutch Shepherd for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Dutch Shepherd dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dutch Shepherd breeders who help with Dutch Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
