Lucky's Story...
Lucky is about 1 year old, 9 lbs., an energetic and playful little boy. He gets along with Foster home's little dogs and cats. He loves to run and play with Nina, which he could do morning til night. He would be well suited for young children who will make him their best buddy, playing with him daily, and/or another playful dog. He is happy as a lark. Lucky does great on leash walks loves going on jogs/runs. He needs a home where he can expend his energy. He continues to improve on his housetraining, utilizing training pads/paper, and doggie door.

With some strangers, he may bark at them at first but easily subsides with a firm and gentle "shush." At the same time, he enjoys meeting other pets and people at pet stores.

As with most any rescue, the breed cannot be determined without historical records, yet Lucky has the appearance of a Toy Fox Terrier or Chilean Fox Terrier.

His primary breed, however, is love and energy. A great dog for an active family.

Lucky has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $250.00.

If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please write us at and ask for an application to adopt. We are a foster-home based organization, and the adoption process starts when you submit your application. Once that has been approved, we can schedule a time for you to meet this pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Atlanta Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Atlanta, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Atlanta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Atlanta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Atlanta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Atlanta paves the way for another one to be saved.
