  • Age: Unknown

Patrick is a lovely, social boy awaiting a loving forever home and is ready to soak up all the love you have to give!

Recently, Patrick was living with another male rat, however, due to a third rat in the house, they began to fight and had to be brought back into our care. We believe there is potential for him to be bonded with another male or spayed female and hope to find him a home that can offer this as rats are extremely social animals and do best when they are not living alone.

Patrick is active and loves having time to roam outside of his regular habitat - a bathroom, spare room, or monitored time with you are great ways to keep him happy and healthy.

Contrary to popular belief, rats make great family pets as they can be quite affectionate and are super interactive. If you're interested in this loving boy please come by and spend some time getting to know him today!

About BC SPCA - Richmond Education & Adoption Centre

About Our Shelter...

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/Richmond for all of our current adoption prices, hours of operation, etc.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
