Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SHEP Is a wonderful friendly 2 year old that, despite being in a extremely bad situation(they threatened to shoot him for trying to play with some chickens) is still loving, friendly, playful, loves everybody 2 legged and 4 legged alike. And so Forgiving, despite his neglect. He is safe at the moment in a kennel, where he amuses himself all day with toys that he really enjoys tossing up in the air. He loves kids,(everybody really). A wonderful neighbor who learned of his plight took him to her house, in hopes that someone would open their hearts to him. Susan has a dozen other dogs and just cannot keep him. He has never been in a house, so is probably not housebroken and he is not neutered yet. We would be happy to add $50 to the expense of having him neutered.
He is a bit submissive and just lacks confidence...teaching him lots of tricks and stimulating his brain, will help him to gain confidence. And I AM sure he would enjoy a passel of kids to play with! And he has always been a homebody..his former owners brought in free range chickens and Shep just thought that they might be fun to play with because he was bored and ignored (he just played a bit too hard)
He is very quiet, which may be because he was punished for barking. This fella has great potential and We are praying for a Christmas miracle in finding a friendly home for him.
Please call Susan at 740-395-0504 or email her at sudalvan@aol.com
Shep is located in Zaleski Ohio 45651 (if you would like to mapquest us or meet him).
And THANKS SOOOOOO Much for YOUR Consideration of a dog in great need of a little LOVE~
