Candy's Story...
This little ball of fluff is Candy, a petite white kitten with a tiny smudge of color on top of her head. She was brought in from a hoarding situation with her mother and siblings, and has been fully vetted. Candy has a sweet playful personality and would love to have a family of her own.

Please call Robin at 352-339-3352 if you would like to foster or adopt this sweet kitten.

You can e-mail us at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an adoption application or call our adoption coordinator, Robin, at 352-339-3352 for more information about our adoption process and our adoptable animals.

We have many cats and kittens available for adoption throughout the year. Our kittens are in foster homes during the week where they receive the love and attention they need to grow and thrive.

All of our cats and kittens have been leukemia tested, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas with advantage, spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. They also receive any other necessary treatment while in our program such as treatment for ear mites, respiratory infections, etc. Our adoption fee is $100 to help cover a portion of the medical and care costs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candy, a Putnam Hall Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Putnam Hall, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Putnam Hall.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Putnam Hall already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Putnam Hall breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Putnam Hall paves the way for another one to be saved.
