My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

JoJo was saved from the local high kill animal shelter. She was dumped by her previous owners when she got into a scuffle at the dog park with another dog that was trying to take her tennis ball. The owner stuck their hand in her mouth and she bit them. Instead of atctually working with her, they took her to the kill shelter where she was in quarantine for 10 days. Our rescue pulled her because she was going to be put down. Sadly, when we picked her up she was frantically looking around for her owners.

JoJo is very affectionate and loves to get affection. She is very food motivated. She knows the command 'sit' but we don't know what other commands she may know yet. We can tell she is very smart which is a total Rotti trait. She is UTD on shots, spayed, 3 years old, and weighs about 66 lbs. She is a pretty small sized Rotti. She may fill out more due to only being 3.

JoJo is currently in daycare where she is doing great with the other dogs. She responds quickly if staff tells her not to do something. We do not know how she will do with cats but because of the natural Rotti prey drive, cats are not recommended. She has not been around kids that we know of but she is pretty high energy and could knock a child over if not careful. She will need lots of exercise so that she doesn't get bored.

A home check is required and a $250 adoption fee. Our adoption fee includes our professional trainer to evaluate your dog(s), dog introductions, and 2 additional one hour training sessions at your home. We want to set your family up for success and make the transition as smooth as possible. There is a 4 week adjustment period for any new dog so please be sure you are prepared to work with JoJo closely for the first 4 weeks. If interested in meeting JoJo, please fill out an adoption app at rottsoflv.com.
