REX is a handsome, loving, 8 month old Dachshund mix - he is such a super sweet little guy, and he only weighs like 11-12 pounds !!!  He is so perfect to cuddle with, or carry around with you everywhere :)

REX is looking for his wonderful forever home.  He is such a handsome little fella - he loves being curled up on the couch with you :)  He loves to cuddle up in blankets, ha, like his picture shows :)

REX loves playing with the other dogs, and loves every person that he meets, he loves adults and children both.  He is also a great alert dog - if somebody pulls up in your driveway, he will let you know.  He likes to look out the window :)

REX is working on being housebroken by being on a schedule.  He is let outside in the mornings, afternoons, and at night.  He listens to his foster Mom very well, and minds her.  He LOVES to go on car rides too !!

REX has been neutered, he has had two sets of puppy shots, his bordetella, and his Rabies vaccination.  He is protected from heartworms, fleas, & ticks with Advantage Multi.

REX will be microchipped, and registered on www.petlink.net - and we will transfer the microchip into your name upon adoption.

REX'S adoption donation is $325 which covers all the vet care, medical needs, preventative care, and fees associated with his microchip.

Please contact krun11@sbcglobal.net for more information !!

About Adopt-A-Stray - MA

About Our Rescue Group...

Adopt-A-Stray Rescue was founded in Jan. 2010 by Kelley Prichard. Kelley saw a need for the unwanted pets at the local Animal Control to be given a chance at life. Adopt-A-Stray is a non profit (pending) Rescue group. We routinely pull dogs (and sometimes cats) from the euthanasia list at our local kill shelter. We also take in strays and owner surrenders as space/resources permit. Most of our available pets are located in ARkansas and are transported to the northeast once they are adopted or have a foster home to go to. The transporters we use most often are Got Orphans Transport (www.gotransporters.com) and Alpha Dog Transport (www.alphadogtransport.com). All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations and are seen by our vet prior to going to their new homes. Please email for more info on our adoption procedures.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Call for an appointment. Since we dont have a physical shelter, it is important that you call or email before trying to meet the pets. We have most of them in foster homes, some here in Arkansas and some in the Northeast.

Our Adoption Process...

I required that all pets in the home are current on veterinary care - this includes vaccinations and heartworm prevention, minimum.
I require that every pet in the home (ok, maybe not fish and reptiles) be spayed/neutered unless there is a valid medical reason not to.
I have an adoption application and contract for each pet.
My adoption fee varies, depending on what type of pet, breed, age, and medical condition.
