Madonna is a doll. She is a stunning fawn fila girl who has had a rough start and deserves a great home. She does have typical fila temperament. Although she is very soft for a fila, but she will never be a friendly social dog with strangers. She does great with the people she knows and anyone that is willing to spend a little time with her and get to know her will adore her. She has to be one of the sweetest most loving dogs to the people she knows we have ever met. She is a great dog and we adore her. She is an amazing dog and we would love to find an amazing home for a dog as sweet as she is.
Recently we took in a number of dogs from another rescue. These dogs were taken in by them and we did not get the full stories on many of them and their histories, as it seemed the rescue disbanded and these dogs were left with out any options. We do not pass judgment when helping dogs and will help dogs when in need. Many of these dogs came to us severely Emaciated. They also had wounds, abscesses, and parasites. We are getting them back to health and as we do we are getting to know them better and better. Gaining the amount of weight many of these giants needed is a slow process, and many of them will need to continue to gain weight for months still. Healthy weight takes time. We try not to gain more then 10 lbs a month of healthy weight. Some of these dogs were 60-70 lbs under weight. These are amazing dogs who deserve a great chance at a wonderful life. These dogs are amazing and cherish every shred of love, grain of food, and soft place to lay. We want nothing more then to give them a wonderful place and family to love them, and make their holiday wishes come true. We do not know much about her past. She was purchased from a breeder, dumped in a high kill shelter, adopted by a person who did not know the breed, dumped back on a rescue, then turned over to us. She has had so much in a short period of time. We really want to place her into a forever home.
Madonna is a doll. She is so easy to love. She is a great girl and wants nothing more then to be loved. She loves her family and will go to the ends of the earth to make them happy. She is a great dog with other dogs and does amazing with them. She has been in a foster with cats and done well. She just needs time to adjust. She is not as aggressive as many filas but would do best with kids over 10 that understand how to acclimate a dog to the home. She loves to go for walks and hang out and does great in the car but will need some one that understands long walks are not going to be possible for her. But she will make a great pet for someone who is looking for more of a couch/car buddy for someone who loves her for who she is. She is a great girl.
Madonna is as amazing as he name implys. She is a great girl who is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and altered. She is micochipped, house broken, crate trained, does well on leash ( with a training collar), and even knows basic commands. She does well with dogs, cats and other animals. She does apear to have torn her ACL in both knees at some point in her life. There are no scars that indicate that she had any operations on them, so they have fused on their own. They are not painful but do limit her ability to go jogging. So we would like to see her kept lean to help her legs and keep her moving better. She can still get out and play. She is a sweet girl who loves to sneak in kisses and loves her family. She deserves a real one for the first time in her life. Lets find her one. She has come so far and is doing so much better with some basic care and love. Please help find this amazing girl her forever home.
We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area.
Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need.
