Facts about Keisha

  • Breed: Hound (Unknown Type) Mix
  • Color: White - With Brown Or Chocolate
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 10673940-Keisha

Keisha and her litter of 6 pups came to our rescue as an owner surrender after they decided they could no longer care for them.  From the time she first came to us, she's gotten along great with just about every other dog she's met and has been very friendly to our staff.

Keisha is a friendly girl that gets along with anyone she meets- with either 2 legs or 4. She loves affection and is very playful, becoming friends with everyone she meets in an instant. Keisha would make a great addition to just about any home, even one with children.

Keisha has been spay and received an update on all of her vaccinations and appears to be in very good health. We've estimated her age to be approximately  2-1/2 years old. She did recently test positive for heart worms and is being treated using the Slow Kill method. Keisha shows no ill-effects from having the heart worms. Having formerly lived as an outside dog, Keisha will need a little house training but should do very well with the proper guidance.

If interested in this pretty girl please submit an application to www.socorescue.com.

About Southern Comfort Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Our rescue is licensed through the State Dept. of Agriculture, with regular inspections being made by them. We are in no way a "puppy mill", rather we take in the stray, abandoned and sick/injured pets and get them back to adoptable status.
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and do accept and survive on donations from adopters and/or the general public.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do not have a facility that has set hours of operations. This is not a problem for our adopters because it allows us to meet them with prospective pets in many locations - most are much closer to where they live. We travel to many places in Georgia so if you see someone you like, let us know and we'll see if we can meet you somewhere relatively close by.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple process to follow in adopting an animal from us: fill out an application, wait a few days and pay our fee when everything is approved!
We have a bit more that we do. After reviewing the application we have to check references and with their vet, then we can send the pet to his new home.
