A volunteer writes: As tempted as I always am to sing the theme song from Rocky and imagine the dog named Rocky running up the steps in Philadelphia to the song, this Rocky would rather be snuggling, and chilling out on the nearest bench after some playtime. Beyond gorgeous, with the sweetest little facial expressions, when in his kennel he lets me know he''d rather be out with me. Leashed and out we go, Rocky is mostly good on leash, didn''t mind being tethered for some pictures in the park, showing off his sit, and taking treats softly. Rocky was surrendered to our care due to landlord issues. We''re told that he''s friendly and outgoing with everyone, has lived with 7 and 14 year-old children, and plays gently with them as he does with adults, plays with dogs met outside the home, will bark back at fireworks (how cute is that?), enjoys baths and brushing, and will pout if awakened from a nap (love that!). Rocky likes to go on runs with his former owner, is housetrained, is crate trained but doesn''t need it anymore. I loved my time with Rocky -- I loved snuggling with him, watching him play, chilling out when he was ready, and he has the cutest habit of lying down and tucking his paws under him. Can we say awwwwwwwwww? He seemed a little bit nervous about my camera, but was a rock star nonetheless for photos, and I could have taken pictures and hung out with him all day. Friendly, lively, playful and energetic, our Rocky is looking for a person or family to provide lots of exercise, lots of playtime, and most importantly, lots of love. He has a knack for making friends with every wiggle of his butt, and I guarantee you''ll fall in love fast. Come meet him and find out.
