Shepard Hound Mix
Approx. 20 pounds

You've seen all her siblings and beautiful mother
But here's the puppy who is like no other .
Annie is playful, fun and always on the go
Loves ropes, balls and toys, friendly with all dogs we know.

She sleeps great in her crate and is quiet all night
She'll stay on her pillow 'til you turn on the light.
Housetraining is done, lets you know when she's ready
Accidents are rare, she's really been quite steady.

If you choose to open your home to this great gal
She'll be loving and sweet, your perfect little pal.
So come out and meet her, you have to check her out
You'll be bringing her home, of this we have no doubt.

Illinois law requires that all of our dogs and puppies be spay/neutered within 30 days of adoption. In order to fully comply with this regulation and reduce the number of homeless dogs and puppies, we do not permit out of state adoptions of unaltered dogs or puppies.

Puppies have special needs and require a home where there will be someone available to care for, socialize, and train them during the day. If your family is away from the home for several hours at a time, please consider adopting a “teen” or adult dog.

Our standard adoption fee is $295 cash or check and $300 credit card ($5 processing fee). It includes spay/neuter when age appropriate at our participating vets, age appropriate core vaccinations, fecal testing, deworming, flea and tick preventative,1st vet visit at one of our participating vets, and micro-chipping.

We must have an application, conduct a phone interview, and meet your entire family to approve an adoption. Please email safehavendogsIL@yahoo.com for an application or additional details.

Please note that the breeds and sizes posted in this biography are educated best guesses and are not guaranteed.

About Safe Haven Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small 501 C3 nonprofit rescue located in Elburn, Illinois. In 2014, Safe Haven Dog Rescue became its own non-profit. We are licensed by the Illinois Agriculture Department.
The majority of our dogs and puppies are pulled from Kill Pounds and Shelters in KY, TN, AL and Illinois. When a foster home is available we will also accept owner relinquishment’s due to illness or foreclosure. We work hard to find local rescue groups within these states to pull the dogs into their program while we coordinate transportation and placement into foster homes.
Please take a few moments to read the stories about the dogs and puppies we have available for adoption. We disclose everything we know about the dogs, sometimes we know a lot often we know only that they were strays, thrown away on the side of the road, in the woods, or found in abandoned houses. While we don’t always know their past we are certain that their future is much brighter.
We hope that you and your family are part of the future…..

Come Meet Our Pets...
