Meet Peanut, an adorable 3 months old puppy. While CCR has been told he is a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix breed mix, that is just a guess made by shelter staff, rescue volunteers, and our veterinarians.
Peanut is just a little love bug. He is just a tiny thing at under 5 lbs. He is so small that he needs help getting on the couch. He loves to play with his toys but also loves to be held. Peanut is great with other dogs and kids and while he hasn't been around cats yet, he should be fine with them. He is curious about everything and brings a smile to everyone's face. Because Peanut is so small, he would do well in an apartment. If he has a yard, it will be really important that he can't squeeze through the fence because he is so small. Since Peanut is only a puppy, he is still learning house training and crate training. Peanut is just a pocket size ball of puppy cuteness looking for his forever home.
If you are interested in adopting Peanut, please submit an adoption application located on our website, coloradocaninerescue.org. We are asking for a $225 adoption donation. He is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and will be neutered in early December. Please note, CCR cannot guarantee the breed composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the shelter.
