My name is Mr. Rusty and please understand that you really must call me that!  I am called Mr. Rusty for a reason and it is because I am very demanding!!!!  When my foster mom saved me I was very emaciated, 3 year old long haired Dachshund that weighed just 7 lbs. and had a fatty tumor on my head.  All of these things have been taken care of and now I have gained up to 10 lbs and I am PERFECT.  I have a lot of special request that I am looking for in my new family and unless you can fulfill these requests I will not consider you.  Remember I am called Mr. Rusty for a reason.  I am housebroken and I do not require crating at all.  I love everyone and everything in life.  My first requirement is that I must have a family that is either retired or a non- working human or always work from home human there at the house.  This is because I am a very clingy little guy.  I love to be in your lap or on the couch beside you almost every minute of the day.  I am very persistent about being held.  My second requirement is I love to travel and go with you everywhere you go when it is reasonable.  My third requirement is that I must sleep in the bed with my human because I love to cuddle. In my perfect future world everything will be about me.  For someone who can appreciate my beauty and worth, they will understand I am not asking for a lot.  I have been completely vetted but I had a seizure when my mom found me and it was because I was so emaciated and now I do require medicine in the morning and at night.  The medicine is not very expensive and in months to come my doctor thinks I will be able to stop the meds.  I take them now just as a precaution.  Please understand if you cannot fulfill my request you cannot be considered for my family!!!!!!!!!!  My mom will be very picky about my family and you will be very lucky to have me. Be prepared for her to cry a little when I leave…or a lot…but it is for the best for me to have my own special humans I do not have to share with other dogs…or too many other dogs.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

About Critter Companion Rescue- NY

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
