HOFFY ~ He's approximately 8 year old, 13 1/2 pound, black dapple purebred dachshund. Taking his name from Hoffy brand hot dogs (he was a plump 19 pounder) AND former Padres closer (one of his foster mom's favorite Padres players), Trevor Hoffman, Hoffy is a very special dog.
Although his inquisitive & stubborn doxie nature initially prevails, Hoffy walks well on a leash. He has some vision issues in one eye, but it doesn't prevent him from enjoying walks and sniffing out good smells. He LOVES food and is quite proficient at finding anything smelling of it...probably the reason he was found weighing 19 lbs. He is good about using potty pads if he isn't taken outside. If you're looking for a laid back dog who just wants to snuggle with his person, Hoffy is your answer.
Foster mom Karen says if you are interested in meeting or adopting him please complete an adoption application and schedule your home safety check so you are pre-approved.
