Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4pm and Sunday, December 4th from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, December 3rd from 1-4pm and Sunday, December 4th from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Noel is a 7 month old Maltese mix who weighs around 10-12lb. She has a non-shedding coat that is an option for those who have allergies or simply want a dog who doesn't shed. She will require regular grooming. We will be looking for an applicant that understands the grooming needs of a Maltese. Noel is an insecure girl. She needs an experienced home that will help build her confidence. She is good with other dogs so having a confident dog is a bonus when considering a home. She needs a home that doesn't have children under the age of 12. She needs a home that won't corner nor will let their guests corner her. If she doesn't want to approach someone then she needs to be left alone.
Noel currently lives with other dogs. She does great with everyone she lives with and she could be an option to go doggy day camp or dog park once she is settled in her home and knows and trusts her people (at least a month). Noel could easily go to work with her people. She wouldn't make a peep. She is quiet as can be...No one would even know she is there. Noel is an option for living in an apartment or condo setting. She is crate trained.
We will only consider those homes that have had a dog in the last 3 years.
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
