Jasper's Info...

Jasper's Story...
This 3 year old boy was transferred to us from Pocatello after waiting too long for his forever home. We just can't understand why no one has scooped him up yet! Jasper is such a love -- affectionate, playful, and so far pretty good with other dogs. We've been told that he's dog selective, but he and Harley did very well together on the way here and during intake. And he apparently was not at all phased by a little bossy dog who got in his face before coming here. The volunteers at his previous shelter report that he's "super sweet," energetic, and more interested in human attention than toys. Which is fine by us. We don't mind loving on this guy. Is anyone looking for a medium-sized adult Aussie Shepherd/Red Heeler type of guy? Because Jasper is definitely your man.

If you want to apply for Jasper, please visit the rescue and fill out an application. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jasper, a Meridian Anatolian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
