Hank's Story...
Hank is a 2-3 year old neutered lab mix. He is a happy and goofy boy! He's very intelligent and knows how to sit and lay down. Hank is pretty polite on a leash, as well. His favorite thing to do is to have his belly rub. He also likes to be close to you. We are unsure if Hank has been around smaller children, so older children in his future forever home would be best. We are continuing to learn how he does with other dogs and cats. Please check back for more Hank updates!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hank, a Michigan City Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Michigan City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Michigan City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Michigan City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Michigan City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Michigan City paves the way for another one to be saved.
