Meet Delilah!! She is a 8 month old pocket lab mix. Right now she only weighs around 30 pounds and should not get much bigger. Delilah is a very fun and playful pup who loves people and getting belly rubs. Delilah is still very much a pup and would need a active family who will work with her everyday on her puppy manners. Her foster family is already working with her but she will need to go to a home that will continue basic training with a puppy. She may do best in a home without very small children, I am sure she would love them but she likes to jump up to get the attention of her humans for some love. Her foster family is working very hard on getting her to stay down but she just loves people and get excited when she is around them. She is learning very fast and is eager to continue learning new things. Delilah gets along great with her foster dogs in the house. One is small and the other is large. Not sure about cats as she has not been around them, but she can be cat tested upon request. . Delilah is fostered in Huntsville AL but she is available for adoption in your area. She is up to date on all shots as well as being spayed, dewormed, and microchipped. She is also heartworm negative and current on trifexis. If you would like to learn more about this sweet pup fill out an application and her foster mom will be in touch soon!! You can fill out an application for this sweet girl here: http://forrescue.net/dog-application/
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization formed in 2009, consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter animals that are in danger of euthanasia. Southern shelters have a constant overflow of dogs and cats, little funding, and limited space. Once the animals arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable animals and find loving individuals/families who will provide committed, FORever homes. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these animals from euthanasia. Each animal in our program is in a foster home and receives all age-appropriate vetting while in our care.

Our Adoption Process...
We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! Our dogs are mainly fostered in one of our many experienced foster homes. All of our animals receive rabies vaccine, distemper/parvo vaccine, bordatella, microchip, and spay/neuter, as well as being kept current on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. All of our dogs come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $450 covers their complete age appropriate vetting, as well as transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual facility in the New England area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! Our transport service is certified through the USDA. We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things do not work out. We try hard to make good matches with our animals and their adopters so that everyone has a happy life together! Our foster homes love the animals in their homes and will fully disclose everything about them – some can even Skype or send videos for you to see them in action.
We can provide references from other rescues, previous New England adopters, and our veterinarians if requested.
Go to www.FORrescue.net and click on "Adoption" and then "Applications" to apply for the animal you are interested in adopting.
