Trumpet quickly found his way into our hearts at MVPC as one of the happiest boys in the rescue! This sweet, sweet boy, who is between 12 and 18 months, adores his people and wants to be by you every step of the way. He also LOVES his foster siblings and wants to play with them nonstop. He also loves walks, and toys. He is still working on play etiquette, and needs a well-mannered dog to teach him cues. He would spend all day running zoomies in the yard if we let him! After zoomies in the yard, he will happily cuddle on your lap - WHEREVER you may be sitting! He knows sit and shake, and works so hard to please his people. Trumpet is always, always happy and wiggling! He does not like to be in his crate if other dogs and people are around, but he can be fine in his crate when alone. At under 50 pounds and downright adorable, he is a happy-go-lucky boy searching for a home that will give him lots of attention and love!

Trumpet's adoption fee is $200. All MVPC dogs are heart worm tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate trained and on a great potty training schedule.

ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. DO NOT USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those--only submitted applications will receive a response. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25 and do not accept electric fences as a source of containment. Because we are volunteer based and a home visit is required, we have a two hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case by case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!

About Miami Valley Pit Crew

About Our Rescue Group...

The Miami Valley Pit Crew (MVPC) is a network of volunteer foster homes dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected and misunderstood dogs and puppies. Though we rescue all breeds, we specialize in Bully and working breeds: Bull Dog breeds, Pit Bull breeds, Mastiff breeds, Shepherd breeds and any mixes of the aforementioned. We take on the hard medical cases to give nice dogs a real chance at a forever home.

We pull dogs from Ohio kill shelters and we also educate owners and the public on bully breeds and Breed Specific Legislation (BSL).

The MVPC evaluates each rescue request to determine the dogs re-homing probability. We want to ensure each dog we take in can be rehabilitated into a family member. We work hard locally to educate bully breed owners and speak out against Breed Specific Legislation.

It all starts with an application FIRST. Once received, we will contact you and answer any questions you may have. It is found under the "Applications" tab on our website.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption fees are $200 for adult dogs, and $250 for puppies 8mo and under. Adoption fees may be more or less depending on breed, special needs, etc. This covers all vetting and allows us to take on hard cases.

It all starts with an application.

http://www.miamivalleypitcrew.com

Our dogs are listed until the adoption paperwork is signed. Please submit an application for approval FIRST. We do not adopt out littermates together. We are a 100% foster-based, volunteer rescue so we are not able to respond to every inquiry about a dog (though we try) and we will respond to a request for an application or if one is submitted through our website. Please allow 72 hours for us to respond, and please check your spam/junk mail folder first, then send us an email if you believe we have not responded! Since we are foster-based, we have no centralized facility to visit. All of our dogs live in private homes as members of their respective foster families.

We require a physical fence for most dogs.

Once approved, we bring the dog to your home for a home visit. If all goes well at the home visit, the adoption is completed at that time.
