About Abandoned Animal Rescue
About Our Shelter...
Abandoned Animal Rescue is a no-kill dog / cat shelter and affordable spay/neuter~wellness clinic located in Tomball serving Northwest Harris and Southern Montgomery Counties in Texas. It is staffed by dedicated volunteers devoted to saving the lives of homeless and unwanted companion animals.
AAR believes all companion animals deserve to be treated humanely. Its mission is to end the unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable dogs and cats, to place them in homes for the duration of their lives, and to properly educate the public about responsible pet ownership.
All animals surrendered to the shelter are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and wormed; dogs are tested for heartworms and, if positive, are treated. The adoption fee is $125 for dogs six months and older; $150 for pups under six months; $50 for adult cats, and $75 for kittens (< 1 year) . Purebred animals may be $200.
All operating money for AAR comes from
clinic and adoption fees, donations, and fundraisers. AAR receives no government money.
