Our Adoption Process...
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please stop by to visit or go to www.thhs.org
and fill out an application. If you do not live in the Terre Haute area, please feel free to contact us by phone or e-mail and we can fax or e-mail you an application!
The fee for adopting a dog is $125*.
This includes their spay/neuter, first vaccinations (not including rabies), worming, identification tag and microchip, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, first office visit at participating Veterinary Offices
*Some select animals may have special adoption fees.
The fee for adopting a cat or kitten is $85.00.
This includes their spay/neuter, first vaccination (not including rabies), worming, identification tag microchip, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, first office visit at participating Veterinary Offices, one year's membership in the THHS, use of our Dog Park (if you should have a dog).
With an adoption you have the option of having your other pets microchipped for $25. Microchipping is also available to the public for $35 per animal. Micro chipping improves the odds of your lost pet being returned to you! Many homeless animals lose their tags, and since they do not have a pocket for a wallet, they have no way to identify themselves!
