Princess's Story...
Princess is our lovely little Jack Russell mix who came to HSSC when her owners fell into a rough spot and could no longer afford to care for her. Princess lives up to her name and she is quite a diva. Even though she is 8 years old, she lives up to the "Jack Russell" energy and always has a wagging tail and very willing to please her people. She is only 13lbs so she would fit right into apartment life as long as she can go for long walks. Come meet little Princess today! She's waiting for her forever family with lots of love and kisses.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Princess, a Sarasota Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
