  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 269438
Lela is a very special girl in search of her forever home. Her anxiety when left alone is very high & she can be very whiny if she does not have company. Lela is searching for a home with someone who is able to spend lots of time with her & play with her as she is extremely ball orientated! Her ball is the most important thing in her life....she loves to chase after her ball and run around with it in her mouth however her retrieving skills are not the best. She is also a huge fan of water! If you are walking any where near puddles with this girl I can almost guarantee that she will be in them! Lela is not a fan of car rides at all, she actually finds them rather stressful. She has lived with a cat before and seems to be okay with other dogs as long as they don't bother her as she has no interest in playing with them. If Lela sounds like she would fit in nicely with your lifestyle then please come for a visit or send an application to the Abbotsford SPCA!

About BC SPCA - Abbotsford Shelter

About Our Shelter...

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
