Facts about Cuddles

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 49321
  • Hair: Unknown
Cuddles came to the shelter after her family could no longer care for her. She was stressed at the shelter, not understanding why she is here. She just got back from foster care where she was loved by her foster Mom. She needs some time to get used to the shelter again but would prefer just to go to her forever home right away. Cuddles had a dental while in our care and will need to be on canned food only for the rest of her life as most of her teeth are gone. She gives the sweetest head bumps and loves her head scratches and shows her appreciation with a rusty purr. She prefers seafood above all but this might be due to attempts to encourage her appetite by offering tuna when she was unwell. She enjoys her solitude, preferring to hang out in her cat hut or behind the curtains but definitely shows an interest in other members of the household. She has not been tested with other animals but reacts to most things that startle her with a hiss. Cuddles is a sweet, affectionate cat would do best in a family with adults only or adults and older children and no other pets.

If you are looking for a sweet senior girl to cuddle with please come and meet Cuddles!

About BC SPCA - Maple Ridge Branch

About Our Shelter...

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/mapleridge for all of our current adoption prices, hours of operation, etc.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
