Facts about Tanna

  • Breed: German Shepherd Dog/Husky Mix
  • Color: Unknown
  • Age: Senior
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: 419960
This lovely lady is Tanna. She was surrendered to us because her guardians were moving and were unable to take Tanna with them. A little fearful at first Tanna takes a few gentle words and a little time to warm up to new people. Once she knows you, she will bury her snout into your arms for a warm hug. Tanna is looking for a gentle and kindhearted person to take her home and spoil her for her golden years. She required some major dental work prior to going up for adoption. She's now healing nicely and ready to start looking for her new home.

Tanna LOVES to go for her walks; her head and ears perk up and she would love to find a home that enjoys leisurely walks as much as she does. She is currently looking for a home without young children as fast moving little ones could be intimidating for Tanna. If you have a home and a heart for a senior girl like Tanna ask to meet her at the Kamloops SPCA.

About BC SPCA - Kamloops Branch

About Our Shelter...

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/Kamloops for all of our current adoption prices, hours of operation, etc.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
