Simba is a very special boy who needs just the right home. He is extremely loving and bonds with his person very quickly and intensely, then does not like to be separated from them. Simba is very gentle and good-natured, smart, and sweet, although his separation anxiety causes him great distress. He is in foster care with a retired couple who is home full time and has been a dream dog for them. We believe that this, or possibly someone unable to work and looking for a companion dog, is the perfect situation for Simba. Because he bonds so strongly with his person, we do not believe he should go to a home with other animals or children.
To meet Simba, call the shelter to set up an appointment to get together with him and his foster family at FVHA.
We always recommend crate training, exercise, playtime, and a regular schedule for potty breaks when bringing a new dog into your home. Adjustment takes time for both you and your new family member, so remember to be patient and enjoy this new and exciting time!
Included in the adoption fee are rabies & distemper vaccinations, heartworm testing, deworming, spay or neuter surgery.
