My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benedict is a friendly Basset Hound mix looking for a family who can keep him and his nose busy! True to his breed, he is an escape artist and needs to be supervised when outside, a sturdy (dig proof) fence is preferred but not required. He is very bright and learns quickly-especially if you offer him treats. Because he gets nervous when he is handled incorrectly (specifically touching paws, being hugged or grabbed), we suggest he live with older teenagers who can respect his boundaries. He doesn’t have a lot of experience with other dogs but seems excited to meet them. So if you have the time to devote to his training (including housebreaking) he will be a great life long companion.
