A Little Bit About Me

Puddy is a very special senior lady--quite petite and quite lovely. Her colors are very unusual; her demeanor is very sweet and gentle. Unfortunately, Puddy has lost two homes in the recent past due to her caretaker's health, and a house fire at her last home. So we want the rest of Puddy's senior days to be a bit less traumatic. We want her new home to be a safe, stable and calm oasis where she can live out the rest of her nine lives with love, companionship and security. Perhaps a window seat for her to watch the outside world go by? A warm cat bed right next to you? Yummy canned food every day?

Puddy still has a playful side to her and would love to play with the wand toy with you (even if it is just in short spurts!) Provide a few toys for her to play with on her own too.

Adopting an older cat is an honor, and there are a lot of things to consider, but we think you're worthy of the task.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
