Hi, I'm Lorna. I'm very loving, sweet cat with a calm disposition, who gets along well with everyone. I'm a bit bashful, but will snuggle against your hand and start to purr, just before rolling over to have my belly scratched! I am an exceptionally kindly and deferential darling who tries never to offend anyone, cat or human alike The volunteers here at the shelter call me the gentle flower because of my mild, endearing disposition. I do like to run and play, though, and am fascinated by staring out the window at all the things going on in the big world! I get along very well with other cats, but would be fine as specially-loved, only pet. A RappCats adoption is quick and easy. We charge a $95 adoption fee, which is one of the lowest of any private cat rescue group. The fee includes the cost of shots and spaying/neutering. We can usually complete an adoption within two business days after we conduct a phone interview. If two cats are adopted, the adoption fee for the second can be lowered or waived. RappCats is a non-profit organization that helps stray, abused, abandoned and injured cats in Rappahannock County, VA. All our cats are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and socialized to make wonderful companion pets. About RappCats

About Our Shelter...

We operate the only community cat shelter in Rappahannock County, relying entirely on private funds. Our dedicated volunteers help the residents of our rural county to spay/neuter cats; rescue, and provide shelter and medical care for stray, abandoned and injured cats; and find loving homes for homeless cats.

All RappCats cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and healthy (unless otherwise noted).

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our shelter is open on Sundays from 1-4 or by appointment. Please call ahead to be sure we will be staffed before you come. We also show cats every other Saturday at PetCo in Warrenton, VA. Times vary so contact us first at 540.987.6050. And thanks!!!

Our Adoption Process...

We conduct an initial phone interview/counseling to try to assure a good match. We'll fill out the application with you at that time, or you can do so when you meet the cat.

We check vet references and will visit with you at your home as another way to try to be sure the cat will be a good fit for your family.

Our adoption fee is $95, and includes the cost of spay/neuter.
