Hi, I'm Tucker. I'm an awesome one year old Tuxedo boy. I was left behind when the home I used to live in was foreclosed and my owners abandoned me. I've spent some rough time outdoors, but I'm super friendly and sweet. I'm not pushy, but as soon as you let me know it's okay to come to you, I'm as affectionate as can be! I like to be petted, get lots and lots of belly rubs, and to be held and snuggled. I do a lot of purring, too. I'm patient, respectful and have lovely manners. Plus, I'm really handsome - did you notice? A RappCats adoption is quick and easy. We charge a $95 adoption fee, which is one of the lowest of any private cat rescue group. The fee includes the cost of shots and spaying/neutering. We can usually complete an adoption within two business days after we conduct a phone interview. If two cats are adopted, the adoption fee for the second can be lowered or waived. RappCats is a non-profit organization that helps stray, abused, abandoned and injured cats in Rappahannock County, Virginia. All our cats are spayed/neutered, current on their vaccinations and socialized to make wonderful pets. For more information or to adopt, contact us at 540-987-6050, rappcats@rappcats.org., or visit our website www.rappcats.org,

About RappCats

About Our Shelter...

We operate the only community cat shelter in Rappahannock County, relying entirely on private funds. Our dedicated volunteers help the residents of our rural county to spay/neuter cats; rescue, and provide shelter and medical care for stray, abandoned and injured cats; and find loving homes for homeless cats.

All RappCats cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and healthy (unless otherwise noted).

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our shelter is open on Sundays from 1-4 or by appointment. Please call ahead to be sure we will be staffed before you come. We also show cats every other Saturday at PetCo in Warrenton, VA. Times vary so contact us first at 540.987.6050. And thanks!!!

Our Adoption Process...

We conduct an initial phone interview/counseling to try to assure a good match. We'll fill out the application with you at that time, or you can do so when you meet the cat.

We check vet references and will visit with you at your home as another way to try to be sure the cat will be a good fit for your family.

Our adoption fee is $95, and includes the cost of spay/neuter.
