My name is Wilma and I'm looking for true love. I know my forever family is out there somewhere, I just have to search a little harder. The volunteer lady told me that I nailed my "adopt me" face, so that's good! My siblings and I were dropped off at the shelter after hours so the Sunshine peoples don't know a lot about our past. I wish they could understand me, dang language barrier! We are going to be getting on a transport outta Texas pretty soon, I'm excited to see the mountains! SO many smells for my long ears to brush up! It would be the coolest if I could be greeted by my forever family when the transport pulls up. A girl can dream, right? I get along with cats, dogs & all people. I hope that my people have cozy couches, beds & warm laps for me to snuggle up in. The concrete floors at the shelter were the WORST. I also really want to go to puppy parties and school so they should be up for those adventures. If you happen to meet someone who is looking for an adorable puppy will you keep me in mind? I hear it takes a village to make rescue miracles happen. I'm cute enough for a miracle, right?

About Sunshine Canyon Dog Rescue

Our Adoption Process...

- Complete our adoption application.
- Email your finished application to Please put the dogs name in the subject line.
- Be patient & understanding. It may take a couple days for us to go through your application & get back to you. We are dedicated to finding the right home for each dog. The dog you are interested in might not be a good fit for you but that doesn't mean its the end of the road. We will work to find you a compatible dog!
- Upon approval we will discuss details of pick up & follow up care.
- Because the majority of our dogs come from out of state; most of our adoptions are done before you meet the dog. We make up for this by doing a mandatory 1 week foster period. We treat it like an adoption (w/ contract & payment) but you have a week to make sure its a good fit. If you decide within in the foster period that you are not compatible, we will reimburse your adoption fee. All we ask is that you continue to foster until we can find a forever home. Our adopters often say that our foster period is much better than a pressured 15 minute meet n greet in a shelter. We cover most medical costs within this week period.
- After the week period we are still a resource for you! We are always happy to help from training to kinds of dog food, we are here for you.
