Daisy is a pretty little lady who was found on a rural property. She was fairly fearful of people and went into foster to learn how nice people can be. She's now ready to look for her forever home so she can find out what it's like to be part of a family. Daisy can still be nervous of fast movements and loud noises so she may not be best for a family with young children but older, calm children would be fine as she's very playful. She is a little shy and takes a while to get used to new situations. She likes to have hiding areas to feel safe. If you are patient, gentle and live in a quiet home, this cat will certainly come out of her shell for you! Once comfortable she is very loving, and enjoys lots of pets. She'll entertain you with her playful nature.
A behaviour counselling session with our Adoption Staff is necessary before adopting any animal.

About Our Shelter...

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
