Hi, I'm Pippin, I am about 1.5 years old and weigh 55 lbs. My foster family says I am SUPER! Yup, when they say it, it's all in capital letters. SUPER-affectionate, SUPER-smart, SUPER-enthusiastic, SUPER-interested, SUPER-athletic - that's me!
Just about my favorite thing in the whole world is getting attention from my people. I will lean against you for hours just so you can scratch my head, or will easily go paws up for a tummy rub. And the other thing I like to do is PLAY! I love to retrieve, I bring the toy back and drop it right away so you can throw again, and again, and again! I have a gentle mouth, I'm careful to be polite when I take the toy. I know enough not to chew human things, so be sure to have some good chew toys, because that's something I really like to do. I'm still a young dog, and have to figure out all the manners that people like - but since I'm really food-motivated, I'm quickly learning to be the best dog I can be. If you love to go for walks, that's great because it's something we can do together! I walk great with a training collar, I've learned not to pull, not even when I get to walk with kids. I'm also housebroken, and sleep without a peep in my crate at night.
Oh, and I love other dogs! I really like going to doggy daycare and although sometimes I need to be reminded that I can't be the boss of everyone, I've learned I can have more fun when everyone can join in. I don't have cats where I live now, but I have been known to CHASE them - I mean, they ran, isn't that what they wanted? I also love sniffing out and chasing those pesky squirrels, rabbits, deer, mice, anything furry - I mean, I do have some houndy dog in me, so that's what I'm supposed to do - and it's just so much fun!
If you're looking for a dog who wants to just hang out on the couch, I'm not the girl for you. But if you love to do lots of SUPER-fun stuff, and are looking for someone to join you - and THEN hang out on the couch, we would be a great match! C'mon, let's be SUPER-friends forever!
Adoption Fee: $400.00
We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433
***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.
If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:
Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.
If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee.
Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.
If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.
If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all.
Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.
Your message has been sent to Tailwaggers 911.
You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
