Lucky is a 7-8yr old cocker spaniel. He is neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, dewormed and up to date on vaccines. He was rescued when his previous owners were moving. His foster home is actually his 3rd home he has been in due to no fault of his own. His 1st owner was military and deployed. A family was watching him during the owners deployment and sadly his owner never made it home and was killed while deployed.
The new family kept him for 2 yrs until a few months ago when they were moving and said they couldn't take him. During that time he was not vetted or groomed and came to us VERY matted. He has since been groomed and fully vetted and would love to finally find a forever home! Lucky IS fully house trained and does NOT bark. He listens well when he goes outside. He gets attached to people very easily. He gets along fine with cats but IS dog selective. He does not like big hyper dogs at all. He does get along with smaller calmer dogs. In his foster home he has to be kept separate from the hyper shepherd but lives along side with a 3lb 16yr old Chihuahua and a 20lb 13yr old Jack russell mix and he does fine with them. He could also be adopted as the only dog and he would be happy to get all the attention to himself. He loves getting attention and belly rubs. He also loves treats and thinks he should have 1 several times a day, pretty much every time you walk past the treat bag lol He also likes to stare at you until you pet him or reward him with a treat. If you are sitting on the couch he likes to sit on the floor and just lay his head on your leg and look at you real pathetic lol He also loves tennis balls! However he does not play fetch. Well sort of, he loves to chase the ball but then he hides it all the time. He likes to hide his treats sometimes also. He has to be adopted to a home with no small kids/toddlers. He does not like a lot of commotion. When kids get loud and start running around it makes him nervous and he will hide under the table. Older calmer kids are fine. All of our cats and kittens are in foster homes. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to set up and appointment to see them. We have life-time placement for all of our rescue's so that they forever have a safe haven.
Unfortunately, we are not able to ship cats/kittens. We try to stay in all of our adoptees lives, so if you are not local to 08053 then we appogize but are unable to adopt to you.
Our kittens can be adopted out at a young age as a foster to adopt agreement as long as the pet parent is home a good deal to meet the needs of the baby. In this particular case we will need to meet up for age appropriate vet care as the kitten matures. This process ensures a social relationship between human and kitten along with a great deal of one-on-one care and additional bonding time with kittens new forever home.
Thank you for understanding!
