Pink-

Pink is one of the sweetest dogs we have met in a long time. She is a stunning huge English mastiff girl. She is a brindle girl with a dark face and really is the embodiment of the English mastiff. She is a gentle giant. She is great with people and adores them. She is a big girl and as she fills out looks bigger and bigger. We do not know much about her past but we know someone had to have loved her at some point for her to be as sweet as she is. We adore the sweet girl and we know that she is going to find an amazing home. She loves to be loved and wants nothing more then to be your best friend.

Recently we took in a number of dogs from another rescue. These dogs were taken in by them and we did not get the full stories on many of them and their histories, as it seemed the rescue disbanded and these dogs were left with out any options. We do not pass judgment when helping dogs and will help dogs when in need. Many of these dogs came to us severely Emaciated. They also had wounds, abscesses, and parasites. We are getting them back to health and as we do we are getting to know them better and better. Gaining the amount of weight many of these giants needed is a slow process, and many of them will need to continue to gain weight for months still. Healthy weight takes time. We try not to gain more then 10 lbs a month of healthy weight. Some of these dogs were 60-70 lbs under weight. These are amazing dogs who deserve a great chance at a wonderful life. These dogs are amazing and cherish every shred of love, grain of food, and soft place to lay. We want nothing more then to give them a wonderful place and family to love them, and make their holiday wishes come true.

Pink is a great girl and just wants to be loved. She is a smart girl but more of a home body. She wants to be cuddled. She would do great with a family that wants a dog who can hang out, enjoy life and just be the amazing pet mastiffs are. She loves attention and has a sweet personality. She is good with other dogs but does need fed alone till she is used to being fed. She came to us pretty thin and guarded her food at first. She has over come this but it may come up again if she is moved to a new place. She is a great girl who has had a really rough start. We adore her and want to see her get into a home that will love her and spoil her. She is amazing.

Pink is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and altered. She came to us emaciated and with some wounds and sores. She is healing nicely and gaining weight but it could take up to 6 mo more months to get her where she needs to be. So for now we are feeding a high calorie food. She is a great girl. She does good with dogs, but has been interested in chasing cats. She may do better if she is given some time to adapt to them. She may just never have seen them. She is good with kids, but can knock them over. She is a smart girl and wants to please. She is an amazing girl and we adore her. She doesn’t seem to have any health issues other then the wounds and weight. She is a great girl. She is learning basic commands, how to walk on leash, and is doing well on house training. She likely had not been inside in a long time. She is a great girl and we love her and would love to see her get her Christmas wish.

We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area.

Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need.

About Rising Phoenix Mastiff Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a no kill non profit mastiff rescue. We work with all breeds of mastiffs including rare breeds and power breeds of mastiffs. Such as Presa, Fila, Corso, Tosa, Dogo, Ect. We are founded by a small group of dedicated people who have a passion for large breed dogs. We often take in animals who are not mastiffs if there is a need. We work with both purebred dogs and mix breeds. We also work with dogs who need further training since many dogs that come in are simply in need of medical care and training. We also work on educating the public to these breeds and helping owners train and help with the dogs they have so that not all are put into rescue. Sometimes the best home is the one they are already in. We spend alot of time on education. We were founded because there was a lack of help for many of the misunderstood mastiff breeds. Many were dieing in shelters and refused by rescues becuase they did not understand the breed. We felt the need so we offered to help.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All our adoptions are set up by appointment only. Our dogs are kept in foster homes. Not in a rescue center. This is so we can get to know everyone better. Because of this we can only do adoptions by appointment.

Our Adoption Process...

We require all adopters to fill out an adoption application for the pet they are inquiring about. This gives us basic info if the dog they are interested in even fits their lifestyle. If that is passed we do a home check, and background check as best as we can in the area. We also contact their vets for any info on their current or past animals. If things go well from there we do require them to come meet and greet the animal they are adopting. In some cases its easier for us to bring the animal to them, and that can be done as well to see how everyone gets along. If that goes well we have an adoption contract that must be signed. We require different things for every animal depending on their exact needs. Some cant be around kids, cats, other dogs ect. Some can. But everyone is required to have a fenced yard, Own their home or they must have proof from their landlord that states that the animal is allowed there. Our adoption fees are based on the animal. They help cover the vaccine, alter, vet check, training, and care of the animal. Also they sometimes help on further medical care if more is needed.
