Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler Mix Dog for adoption in Ottawa, Ontario - Niko

I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Niko's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Niko's Story...
Niko is the new guy on the block! More information will come once we get to know him more :)

He is a 4 year old Cattle dog/Blue Heeler mix, who is house and crate trained, as well as walks well on leash with a prong collar (will pull without one, so would need training). He has lived with and done great with other dogs, kids and even dog-savvy cats! He is looking for a home that can give him the mental and physical stimulation his breed needs.

If you're interested in adopting Niko, please visit our website at www.rockyroadrescue.ca and complete an Adoption Application, thank you! (Our website is currently down - please visit our facebook page, or contact adoption.rockyroadrescue@gmail.com)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Niko, a Ottawa Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler for sale in Ottawa, or seeking a Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler dog from a breeder in Ottawa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ottawa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ottawa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ottawa paves the way for another one to be saved.
