MEET CHAPLIN — our little black-and-white, 4-year-old, 13 sturdy pounds of one of the most adorable little Shih Tzus you’ve ever met! His personality is so fun, and he’d love a family who will appreciate it and bring out the best in him! He may be a little shy at first (especially of men), but he is very social. Chaplin loves his toys and will dig deep into toy baskets to find just the right one…whether they are squeaky or beep, quack like a duck, or they just shake, he loves them all! And while the shelter aged him at 6 years, he plays like a puppy! He even nips like a puppy, so he probably shouldn’t go to a home with kids. His new home should include another playful pup to keep him busy. Chaplin enjoys sunning himself and following you from room to room. He loves to go on walks and is great on the leash. He is generally quiet, but he is still a good watch dog. He seems to be house trained (or at least potty-pad trained) in our foster’s home, but we can’t guarantee at yours. Do you have a place in your heart for this little cutie?

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.
Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!
