Vlad is an adorably lovable young basset/dachsund mix. We love this long-dog for his friendly personality. He loves to cuddle with his sister and his humans. If you pet him, you'll have an instant friend in Vlad. Vlad definitely loves his dog toys, too. His foster humans have discovered that he is happy to chew on antlers and carry his toys around the house (especially squeaky ones!). Vlad is a good boy! He is already house-trained and does very well in a crate when his humans are away. Walking on a leash is no problem for Vlad, either, though sometimes he will bark while leashed. He can also sit on command, will come bounding up when called, and is learning new commands! Vlad is good with other dogs and kids, but not cats. He can be nervous around men at first, but if you show him that you're his friend, you will win him over. Vlad is a playful boy when it's playtime, and he's also happy to nap in his crate or on his dog bed when it's time to be calm. When playing with his sister, he has an extremely cute little hopping run that his foster humans just love! A home in which he has a backyard to run around and play in would be ideal for this younger pup. Are you dying to give Vlad the love he craves? He can't wait to meet and snuggle with you! We know you'll fall in love with his cute basset face and long ears.
