Gwen Smith's Story...
Gwen Smith
~ 22 lbs ~ 5 yrs old ~ fostered in Washington, DC ~

This little cutie was a stray. She was tossed out of a car and picked up by a good Samaritan. She's a little timid but loves all other creatures and humans. Just look at how happy she is sitting with her foster-family! She seems to be potty trained, but needs a little work on leash-walking.

Gwen is looking for a family that can welcome her into their home forever, like she truly deserves. Please e-mail icanhelp@beaglemaryland.org if you are interested in learning more about this special little girl!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gwen Smith, a Waldorf Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
