Zonder's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Zonder's Story...
Zonder is the happiest dog you will EVER meet. He is almost 3 years old and is a Double Merle (bred improperly) Australian Shepherd. He is completely deaf and mostly blind. He can only respond to touch signals and knows sit, shake, lay down, move forward, and a few others. He is very independent and it’s hard sometimes to remember that he’s blind and deaf. Zonder is a complete snuggle pup. If you’re sitting down, then he’s in your lap! He’s good with all animals and people but can jump and startle small children or animals. He can walk easily on a leash and doesn’t need too much guidance (sometimes he can’t see sign poles so the leash may get tangled). He really is a happy go lucky boy and if you’re looking for a happy little snuggle pup then Zonder is your man! His best buddy is Legend who is also available for adoption. But Zonder would probably learn to depend on any other big-brother dog and/or his humans. He is fostered in Huntsville, AL, is heart-worm negative, up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped! Fill out an application for him at www.forrescue.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zonder, a Nashville Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
