Jackson's Story...
As of November 4th, I've only been here a few hours, & the staff is already in love with me (trust me, I know these things)! I'm just about the sweetest dude around, wanting nothing but hugs & kisses, & to maybe tear apart some stuffed toys or kongs.
I came to Al-Van as a return to another place, due to the fact that I guess I was too playful with the small people in the home. Hey, I just wanted to make friends!
The staff here thinks I'm pretty gentle though, so they don't doubt I'll be fine in a home with kids. I also seem very interested in other dogs, & maybe a little too interested in cats but may be fine once in a home.
Please come meet me, so you can fall in love too...& then get me home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackson, a South Haven Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in South Haven, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in South Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in South Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a South Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in South Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
