Prancer's Story...
You know Dasher and Dancer? Well, I'm way cuter than either of them! I earned the title of Prancer since I'm so light on my twinkle toes! I prefer the company of people over canines, as a matter of fact I'd probably do best if I could be the only dog in your home since I would really like your undivided attention. I'm very small, after all. I seem pretty well housetrained, but a quick refresher course and a steady routine will really help me transition into my forever home. I'm really good at sitting in laps, and LOVE giving kisses. Since I can be a little bit of a diva, I would do best in a home with older children since I like to jump up and kiss you mid-air, and I wouldn't want to accidentally overwhelm any little ones. What do you say? Can we go for a sleigh ride together?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Prancer, a Harrisonburg Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
