Dear Santa,
This last week has been crazy. My family said that they couldn't take care of me and my sister, Jingle, anymore, so they took us to the shelter where I got spayed, microchipped and vaccinated. It was not a fun day. But the next day was better. We were taken together to a foster home where we have a comfy bed, food and water, and so many friends to play with. At first I was scared of them since I am only 3-lb and 1-year-old and the other dogs were sooo big. But I am starting to play with them now too. I am still a little sore from being spayed so when playing with the other dogs becomes too much for me, I jump on my foster mom's lap and hide in her jacket. She can fit me and my sister inside her jacket so the other doggies can't see us. That's how she drove us home from the shelter actually, we were nice and warm. Which is a good thing since it was so cold outside! My foster mom says she will get me a tiny Christmas sweater and make me pose for pictures this weekend. I am not sure what that entails but we will see...
I am still getting adjusted to my new foster home and still have a lot to learn. They keep talking about this so called 'potty training' and I have no idea what that is. But my mommy said I did well on my crate training and in sleeping through the night. She gives me lots of cuddles when I do something good and I loooooooove to cuddle.
So now that you know what is going on in my life, what I really wanted to ask you for Christmas is for a good loving forever home that will be my safe heaven forever and ever and ever for me and for my sister. If we could be together forever, that would be the best Christmas present ever since I love my sister so much, but if you find 2 wonderful homes that want a bundle of joy in their lives and we each go to one, that would make me happy too. I promise to be a good girl and try really hard to learn all that they want to teach me. My foster mom says that I am a really sweet girl and deserve a home where they will love me and care for me, so she will take care of me until we find that special place. Anyone interested in our dogs must be over 21. We are only able to adopt to homes within a reasonable driving distance of the dog's foster home (zip 75082) and please be prepared for a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not adopt on first-come-first-served basis, we want to make sure the dog is right for the family and vice versa based on what we know about the dog's personality, habits and behaviors. Our adoption fee for dogs is $175.
