My basic info
Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there! My name is Mickey and I am a three year old Quaker parrot. My previous mommy is pretty sure I’m a boy but maybe I’m a girl? Who knows maybe I’m actually a Minnie!
You may have noticed, I am a bit of a plucker around my chest but I am getting better and new feathers are growing in! Because of this, I need lots of shredding toys to destroy and I would do best with someone who is home a lot during the day and can give me loads of time outside of the cage and lots of attention! My foster daddy does try to give me baths and I don’t like those much but I AM learning to like head scritches!
I’m pretty protective of my cage, so it’s best to handle me out of the cage and in a different room. My foster daddy is working on stick training to help with transporting me away from the cage. Once I’m out of the cage I’m pretty sweet to anyone! I love just being on people, way more fun to perch on than pieces of wood! Sometimes I preen my foster daddy’s hair. I have a cute little ducky toy that I like to sleep with, that's my buddy! When I'm covered at night, I make cute little kissy noises. I don’t talk much but I am learning; when my foster daddy says “step up” I’ll say “up”, when he says “no bite” I say “-ite” and when he says “pretty boy” I like to say “-oy”.
Right now I LOVE seeds but I am slowly being converted to a healthy pellet diet with some fresh fruits and veggies thrown in. Maybe you’re thinking about adopting me? I will try to be on my best behavior when you come to meet me, which I hope will be very soon. In the meantime, maybe you can send me some gifts from my wish list at: https://www.amazon.com/…/…/2X16OXCGD04MP/ref=cm_wl_list_o_33? All gifts are very appreciated, thank you!!
