Reginald ("Reggie") had been passed around to a few different families before finally being dumped at the Hayward Shelter. He struggled to pass the "food bowl" portion of his temperament test, where the tester annoys the dog with a fake rubber hand while eating to see if it bites. Reggie did, so he stayed "in the back" for about a month. Nobody's Perfekt Dogs pulled him into foster care, allowed him to adjust to his new home and create a bond with the humans (it only took a day), then we retested him with a familiar human hand while he was eating and he passed with flying colors - no aggression.
Reggie is a friendly little guy, that gets along with other dogs, and seeks attention from humans. It is not unusual for these type of dogs to crave a lot of attention (a little insecure) and his new owners will need to be aware of his potential for "separation anxiety." Reggie would probably do better in a home with another playful, friendly dog(s) to keep him company. If there are kids in the home, they should be older.
