Pete's Story...
Little Pete the yorkie mix originally came to us back in May 2016 from our Newark facility after his owners turned him due to having too much going on in their lives to care for him. Pete won us over immediately with his sweet and mellow personality, and he was adopted pretty quickly. Sadly, he was turned in again through no fault of his own. This time it's a health problem with a child in the home. Pete is keeping his little chin up and hoping the third time's a charm. Pete is about 4 1/2 years old now and is still a sweet, quiet little guy that is super polite and well behaved. He's a little unsure of new situations, but who can blame him? He's not aggressive in any way, just a little shy. Once Pete gets to know you he's an absolute lovebug that is happy to cuddle up in your lap. He walks like a little gentleman, sits nicely when asked, and takes treats gently. He has grown up around children and is just fine with them. He is also fine with other well behaved dogs and cats. Pete is dreaming of a wonderful home where he'll be welcomed with open arms, and loved by a family forever. File#26870 12/1/16
